BUILDING DREAMS EARLY INTERVENTION
DREAM BUILDERS

Abby Merritt
Service Coordinator
Hello! My name is Abby Merritt, and I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lander University and have dedicated my life to supporting individuals with special needs. Over the past decade, I have focused on working with people with disabilities and developmental delays, including roles with the Autism Society as a Case Manager and with OIDD as a Direct Support Professional, Program Coordinator, Quality Assurance Director, and Residential Director.
For the past 3 years, I have been a valued member of Building Dreams Early Intervention powered by Pathwise. I originally began as a Family Trainer and have since progressed to Service Coordinator and Supervisor, supporting families and individuals on their developmental journeys.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jamie, and our children, Bella and Mason. My daughter’s cat, Pumpkin, is also a cherished part of the family! I love outdoor walks, socializing with friends, and reading. My favorite way to engage play with children is with sensory books and creative activities like Play-Doh!

Hi! My name is Sarah Davenport, and I am a member of the Early Intervention team with Building Dreams. I graduated from Lander University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I have experience working one-on-one with children of all ages, including serving as an ABA therapist for a year during my undergraduate studies. I also completed internships during college where I worked inside classrooms supporting children in educational settings. Additionally, I gained early experience in a daycare setting through an internship I completed in high school.
In addition to my professional work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three beautiful children, as well as our three dogs. I am passionate about supporting children and their families and look forward to helping your child grow, achieve their goals, and become their best self each day.
