What is BabyNet?

BabyNet is South Carolina's system of services for infants and toddlers, birth to three years of age, who have developmental delays or have conditions associated with developmental delays. BabyNet will provide parents and caregivers with the support they need to be the best possible teachers and caregivers for their children.

What to Expect: STEP-BY-STEP

Step 1

Click the "Make a Referral" link above and complete BabyNet's intake.

Step 2

BabyNet will contact you by phone to schedule an assessment for your child. You will answer questions and provide any needed information. This assessment will determine if your child has any developmental delays.

Step 3

If BabyNet determines your child is eligible for services, your family will be offered a choice of Early Intervention providers, including Building Dreams.

Step 4

BabyNet will send your child's name and intake information to the provider you have chosen. If you chose Building Dreams Early Intervention, someone from our agency will contact you within 48 hours of receiving your child's intake information from BabyNet.

Step 5

Building Dreams will set up an in-person meeting with you and your family. At this meeting, we will create goals together for your child after completing a Curriculum-Based Assessment (CBA). We can discuss any additional services that may also support your child's development.
